This policy is provided to you as required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, 15 U.S.C. 6801-6810 and applies whether you are a client or former customer. You may have additional rights under applicable state law.
COLLECTING INFORMATION:
Security Credit Services (SCS) collects certain personal information as permitted by law about its customers from the following sources: applications or other forms that were filled out as part of the related transaction with prior owners, information SCS receives from them, information concerning their transactions with SCS, its affiliates, or others, your interactions with SCS and the interactions between SCS and others on your behalf, and information SCS receives from consumer reporting agencies. Information includes the consumer name, address, social security number, former employers, payment history, and account balances.
USING AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION:
SCS does not disclose any non-public personal information about its customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted or required by law. The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act allows SCS to share non-public personal information with non-affiliated third parties in certain circumstances such as with companies that provide services to SCS or that help administer your account. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act allows financial institutions and other businesses to share basic information to non-affiliated third parties in certain circumstances such as with companies that provide services to SCS, in connection with the sale of its business assets, and if necessary for compliance with law.
INFORMATION SECURITY:
To maintain security of customer information, SCS restricts access to your personal and account information to persons who need to know that information. SCS also maintains physical, electronic, managerial, and procedural safeguards to protect your information. Whenever SCS uses third-party service providers, they are required to meet SCS’s security standards.
